Some Goodbyes

Sometimes goodbyes are necessary;
Some goodbyes don't have to hurt.
Sometimes goodbyes are necessary;
Sometimes goodbye is just a word.
Sometimes goodbye is not forever;
Sometimes people do come back.
It's not the goodbye that's so hard;
It's the leaving that makes us feel so bad.
Sometimes goodbye is a good thing;
Sometimes staying's more harm than good.
But if I could avoid the goodbye,
Every single time I would.
