I'll Try It

I think I could be happy,
If I wanted to.
I'll try it,
I'll try it,
I'll try it, won't you?
I think I could be happy,
I'll try it, won't you?

I think that I could smile,
If I wanted to.
I'll try it,
I'll try it,
I'll try it, won't you?
I think that I could smile,
I'll try it, won't you?

I think that I could laugh,
If I wanted to.
I'll try it,
I'll try it,
I'll try it, won't you?
I think that I could smile,
I'll try it, won't you?

I think that I could join the fun,
If I wanted to.
I'll try it,
I'll try it,
I'll try it, won't you?
I think that I could join the fun,
I'll try it, won't you?

I think that I could dance and sing,
I think that I might have a dream,
I think that I could talk to you,
I'll try it,
I'll try it,
I'll try it, won't you?

Sad Song

Baby, when you need a sad song to sing,
You can sing me,
When you need a sad song to play,
Baby, you can play me.

ANNOYING SONG

< Mostly, I was washing dishes, and I was bored. I probably wouldn't post this, except that the first lines contain bacon and cheesecake. X) >

Cheesecake,
(BACON!) Cheesecake,
(BACON!) Cheesecake,
(Oooooh....)
(Yeah,) I know you love this song,
Even though it's too annoying and long,
(Ooooh...)
(Yeah!) I know you love this song,
Even though it's too annoying and long.
(Ring....Ring....Ring....)
I think you're phone is ringing,
You'd better answer it,
It might be your mother.
(Oh no....)
(Oh no....)
(Oh...) It's jsut a solicitor,
Why on earth aren't you on the no-call list?

Oh, Melaney!

She was seventeen,
She didn't like anything,
The rest of us did.
Funny thing,
She was allergic to chocolate,
But was never tempted to try it,
Anyway.
And oh, Melaney,
We were the worst teasers,
And it never ceases to sting.
Oh, Melaney,
You're the most beautiful memory,
Melaney,
She didn't talk about boys,
Like the rest of us did,
And when the dance started,
She's always the one who hid.
If only she could see,
All of our regrets;
She has so many more friends,
Than she did.
Oh, Melaney,
You're the most beautiful memory.
Oh, Melaney,
Her Savior set her free,
Sooner than we expected.
And for awhile,
Everyone tried to be just like her,
Before they forgot her altogether.
No one understands,
Why my eyes are still wet,
I must be mad,
She was just another kid,
Another lonely soul,
Another lost and quiet ghost.
"Man," I  "Gotta let her go!"
But, oh Melaney!
You're the most beautiful memory;
You reminded me,
Of something I never plan to forget.
Oh, Melaney,
Melaney,
Melaney.

WORST SONG EVER

< Don't try telling me you like this, cause I'll know you're lying! You're lucky I changed line four.It took me forever to think of a good word that rhymed with tree.>

Three little pigs,
Sitting in a tree;
One smelled like bacon,
The other smelled like- tea.
One had a flower,
Tucked behind it's ear.
That's the end of the song,
So let's all give a cheer!

I'm Not Happy Here Anymore

< I thought I already posted this... :/  Oh, I thought about changing that line about 'keep your distance, won't you boy', but then the next line wouldn't have rhymed. :P I guess this song is especially fitting since everyone's moving away now...>

I'm all alone by the light of the moon,
And I'm happy for it to be that way,
I know that you'll be coming here soon,
But I don't have plans to stay.
'Cause I'm not happy here anymore,
I'm gonna fly right out the door,
I've grown my wings; it's time to soar,
I'm goin' away,
Have a lovely stay,
'Cause I'm not happy here anymore.
Someday we're gonna die,
Dont'cha know?
It's as good a time as any to say, "Goodbye,
I've gotta go."
'Cause I'm not happy here anymore.
If you call I won't answer the phone,
I don't wanna hear from you,
Right now I jsut need to be alone,
And there's nothing you can do.
Knock as loud as you want; I'm not coming to the  door,
And I'm not happy here anymore.
Just keep your distance, won't ya' boy?
You're staying here gives me no joy.
I won't stay, I won't play, go away,
'Cause I'm not happy here anymore.
No, I'm not happy here anymore,
This place brings me no cheer,
And I'm not happy here anymore.

Hey, Judith

< Sorry, this is nothing like Hey Jude, but I had to do it. In honor of the little guy! :) >

Hey, Judith,
Long time no see.
How are you lately?
Hey, Judith,
Why'd you turn away?
You must remember me.
Fifteen,
Iced Tea,
It was only last spring.
Hey, Judith,
I'm not asking you to stay,
If you don't, that's okay,
I just want you to explain.
Hey, Judith,
Who are your new friends?
I think I remember them,
The Queen Bees,
Who wouldn't let you be;
\You must not be yourself.
Hey, Judith,
Give it a rest,
Stop trying to be the best,
There's no one to impress.
Hey, Judith,
Who do you think you are?
You know you aren't a star,
I'm warning you,
Anything you do that way is gonna hurt.
Hey, Judith,
Listen to me;
We were best friends at fifteen,
Does it have to end so early?
I haven't changed, don't you worry,
If that's why you're afraid.
Hey, Judith,
I see it in your eyes,
Don't try to disguise the pain,
Or hide the tears that fall like rain.
Who hurt you?
Please tell me,
That it couldn't be a guy who came between us.
Hey, Judith,
What's all this fuss about?
Surely by the morning you'll come around.
Oh, Judith,
You're walking away,
But I'm not ready to say goodbye,
One of us is sure to die from this.
Hey,
Goodbye,
Goodbye,
My love Judith.

Dosey-Doe

< All of you who like dancing will appreciate this. Well, probably you will, anyway.>

REFRAIN:
When the world is an oyster,
It's so hard to breathe,
And when the doors are all locked,
Then it's so hard to leave.
When you don't know,
You can only guess,And when we open the cupboards,
We'll see what is left.
So dosey-doe,
And dosey-doe,
And dosey-doe again.
Dosey-doe Maxi,
And dosey-doe Alex,
And when we get dizzy,
We can't stop to rest.

Things much less subtle,
Desire slier tongues,
Or if they can't fight,
They'll have to run.
You leave people to die,
When you're helpless to save,
But you pray for the strength,
Once you reach the nave.
REFRAIN

The things most fragile,
Are those you can't touch,
Like colors and feelings,
Which taste like fairy-rust.
Monsters are creeping,
While your children sleep,
But they won't attack,
If you don't make a peep.
REFRAIN

Dark things,
Light things,
The living,
And ghosts.
When we are ended,
Then we will see;
Who did you waste,
Your love on the most?
REFRAIN
So dosey-doe,
And dosey doe,
And dosey-doe again.
So dosey-doe,
And dosey-doe,
And dosey-doe,
The End.
REFRAIN

Summer Farewell Song

< This is the poem I wrote two years ago for the Talent Show. Why I'm posting it now and didn't post it a long time ago, I don't know...>

Oh, Summer sweet, though you must end,
And let your leaves now fall,
And all your birds must fly away-
Oh, goodbye! Goodbye all!
You let us run with sweaters off,
And shed our shoes for you,
Though we will miss you greatly soon,
Winter's always lovely, too.
I can not wait 'till you return,
But tears I shed are crazed,
For I know that I shall wait for you,
And by snowflakes all are amazed.
When bird song comes again to me,
With joy again I'll sing,
But 'till your time I'll rest content,
And admire this lovely thing.

There Was Never A Bird

< Short and Sweet. :) Actaully, I planned to add to this sometime, but will probably never get around to it. :P>

There was never a bird,
With wings like yours, no,
And there was never a bird,
With such a sweet, sweet voice.
There was never a bird,
As selfless as you, no,
There was never a bird like you.

I Don't Know When I Broke

< Maybe some what depressing, but hey, I liked the picture of the china doll. :) >

REFRAIN:
And I don't know,
I don't know,
When I broke.
And I look back,
I look back,
At the letters I wrote,
And wonder,
How many hold my lies?
How many people have come,
To despise me?

I don't know,
I don't know,
What to do anymore.
I don't know,
I don't know,
What I want anymore.
Looking back I wonder,
How did I make it this far?
And why am I,
How I'm still thriving?
REFRAIN

And I don't know,
I don't know,
Why you lvoe me.
And I don't know,
I don't know,
Why you can't see,
I'm just a china doll,
After all,
This smiles just painted here,
And I'm this close to cracking.
REFRAIN

I don't know,
I don't know,
Maybe I'm a little too dramatic.
I don't know,
I don't know,
Why I've got to panic,
Everytime you try to be nice.
Maybe there's pills I should take for the pain,
But more than the pain, what really kills,
Is feeling fake.
REFRAIN

And I don't know,
I don't know,
When I broke.
And I don't know,
I don't know,
How many letters I wrote,
And how many I am watching,
Going up in smoke.
And I don't know,
I don't know,
When I broke.
And I don't know,
I don't know,
How long it takes you to realize,
I'm the one you should despise.
And I don't know,
I don't know,
When I broke.
And I don't know,
I don't know,
How many lies that I have told,
The price that's on my sould.
I don't know,
I don't know,
I don't know,
I don't know,
When I broke.

Enigma of the Doors

< I was originally going to call this Enigma, but then I decided to change it, just in case I came up with more enigmas. If you think you figure out the answer, tell me, because I don't know what it is. XD... I also meant to show it to Naina Bird yesterday, but I forgot. :P>

One door is black,
One door is white,
One door is covered,
In the stars of night.
Behind one is a beast,
Behind one is a child,
Behind one is the key,
To taming the wild.
The beast is your friend,
The child a beast,
The key is the key,
To your release.
You're destined to choose,
That which you don't want,
But you won't want to turn back,
And if you do, you can't.
If you choose the beast,
He'll show you the way.
If you choose the child,
She'll lead you astray.
If you choose the key,
You'll never know,
What would have happened,
If you chose not to go.
You can choose not to to,
Through any door;
You can choose to wake up,
Without knowing more;
You can choose to give in,
You can choose to ignore,
The pleading for help,
You can't help but hear;
But if you choose to wakt up,
It may still be in your ear.
But who needs your help-
Key, beast, or child?
And if you choose to help,
Will you ever escape the wild?
Then here is a clue,
To help you on your way;
One needs your help,
But will not show it,
One pretends to need help,
And may receive it,
But if you give it,
You shall not leave it.
The one whop needs it,
Should not receive it.
But the one who does not,
Needs something different;
You need something, too,
Though you don't know it yet,
But if you help the wrong one,
What shall you get?
From one you shall get what you need,
But don't want,
From one you shall get what you want,
But don't need,
From the other you'll get only disaster,
But help someone else on the way.
