We Are True

( Eh. Not my best. But, considering I finally have 3 new songs to post after such a long dry spell, at least it's something!!!

This piece of glass,
Here in my hand;
It represents
Everything
That's ever been
Broken.
You see this blood,
That stains the glass?
It represents
Every lie
That's ever been
Spoken.
So dont' ask me now
To love you forever,
Unless your are sure
We are true.

This heart of mine,
It has felt pain,
And I'm not sure
Anything
Has been so
Broken.
You see that boy,
With gloomy face?
He has felt pain.
It's my fault,
Because of lies
Spoken.
My heart lied to me,
So wait a little while,
Until you are sure
We are true.

I'll live alone,
If that must be;
I'd rather that
Than to be
Someone who is
Broken.
You see these tears;
My lonely hands?
My souvenirs,
From a lie-
From false feelings
Spoken.
So don't ask me now
To forget all that pain,
Unless you are sure
We are true.

Dear To You

( +Annalise Harrison  +Julianna Grobien  Juel, be sure you show Nain-Bird this, because I wrote it especially for her and Anna!!! :D

He bowed to you,
You bowed to him,
He took your hand,
And I watched you,
Spin and twirl,
And smile and dance,
Across the room.
It wasn't hard to tell,
No, not very hard to tell,
He was dear to you.

He bowed to you,
You bowed to him,
And he led you
Back to where you
Stood and smiled,
And watched and laughed
Across the room.
It wasn't hard to tell,
No, not very hard to tell,
He was dear to you.

He bowed to you,
You bowed to him,
He kissed your hand,
And said farewell.
You smiled and
Waved and watched, all
Across the room.
It wasn't hard to tell,
No, not very hard to tell,
No, it wasn't hard to tell,
Not so very hard to tell,
He was dear to you.

To Know Your Name

( Confession: This is, in my head, a song to be sung in a musical!!! <3 The problem: I only have a tune for parts of the song, I don't have any other songs for this supposed musical, and I have no ideas for a musical... :P

When I saw you,
I had to know you;
You had that kind of
Look that people
Want to know.
When I saw you,
I asked, "How do you?"
But you turned away;
Not a word did you say,
To make me smile.
But I would
Buy you all the roses
In the city;
I would draw your face
On all the walls and floors.
I would dance till all the
People called me crazy,
For I have a prize worth
Going crazy for.
If that's what I must do,
Then that's what I must do,
If that's what I must do,
To know your name.

Please don't say
I feel mere enfatuation;
It's not your beauty
So much as the smile
On your face,
And the way you hold yourself,
And the way that I first
Saw you in this place.
I don't need to
Be in love with you;
I just want to know your name.
So I would
Catch you all the birds
In the country;
I would paint your silhouette
On the windows and the doors.
I would sing till all the
People called me crazy,
For I have a prize worth going crazy for.
If that's what I must do,
Then that's what I must do,
If that's what I must do,
To know your name.

No, I don't need to
Be in love with you;
I am fine just to
Have a cup of tea,
If that's what I must do,
Then that's what I must do,
If that's what I must do,
To know your name.

I Hope They Know

I don't know how to tell you
Because I know it's going to hurt;
I feel like you gave me love,
And I'm treating you like dirt.
REFRAIN:
I hope they know you're not the one,
Who broke somebody's heart.
I hope they know you're not the one,
Who tore our bond apart.
I hope you know I never planned,
To cause you any pain,
And if there was another way,
I'd chase away the rain.

This doesn't mean that I'll stay,
Because that won't really be a cure.
It hurts more to live a lie,
Than to just walk out the door.
REFRAIN

I know I may seem cruel,
But I hope that you can understand.
It's like a friend once told me,
You're a boy- I need a man.
REFRAIN

Don't think I won't cry tonight,
And please don't think that I've stopped caring.
But this is better for us,
Than love that we weren't sharing.

Super Sweet Silence

( Oooooh, this song is soooooo weird... Someone remind me why I wrote this when you're done reading it... The pics in this post are not mine. Please just let me know if it's yours and you would like it removed. I noticed two of the pics I had were watermarked- they weren't before, but apparently that changed. *sniff*- so I removed all the pics. If you have pics you'd like me to replace them with, that would be AWESOME.)

Black clad ghosts wave goodbye,
Giving a chance for their presence to sink in.
The tears you held back for the service,
Fall like rain down your cheeks,
But the room is full of a Super Sweet Silence.
REFRAIN:
Super Sweet Silence,
Bitter and sweet;
There's a time for everything,
And a time when everyone,
Must drink a cup,
Of Super Sweet Silence.
There's a time to talk,
To laugh,
To cry,
Or sing.
And then a time to do nothing,
And it's called Super Sweet Silence.

Two young people holding hands,
On the porch on a late Summer day,
And smiles crack their young faces,
As they think about their dreams,
But the porch is full of a Super Sweet Silence.
REFRAIN

 Someone stares at the moon;
Their eyes are like two great round orbs,
Their face is a blank sheet of paper.
Who knows what they're thinking?
But the night is full of a Super Sweet Silence.
REFRAIN

There's a void bright lights,
Made of changing colors man shall never see;
A place where nothing is solid or sure,
But everything is good,
And the void is full of a Super Sweet Silence.
REFRAIN

Twisted

( I haven't actually come up with a name for this song that I'm happy with, but I had to call it something, so this'll have to do for now. I know it's twisted, but listen: it's not meant to praise abusive relationships, but to draw attention to the problem. What better way to do so than to (try) to write a song from the point of view of someone in such a relationship. I didn't actually have someone in such a situation to get input from, so we'll see how this goes... I'm apologizing in advance, though, because this is probably the most melancholy thing I've ever written, and I expect a lot of decent people are going to get upset with me. Go ahead and yell at me if it makes you feel better; I can see where you're coming from, and I'm not sure there's a way I can out into words anything satisfactorily justifying this song...)

I'm not afraid of falling,
If I fall into your arms.
I'm not afraid of hurting,
If you do me the harm.
Your love can make me heal,
And my scars all fade away,
Like a melting ice cream cone,
On a sunny day.
So hurt me if you want to;
I'm blind to the truth.
I don't care what love is,
If it's not being with you.

My friends are crying over,
The mistakes they think I made,
As they each lay another,
Red flower on my grave.
They don't think you loved me,
But I don't care if they're right.
I want this fresh new grave stone,
Given by my knight.
So hurt me if you want to;
I'm blind to the truth.
I don't care what love is,
If it's not being with you.

Why (I Love You)

Why does 'I love you' always have to mean,
Goodbye, goodnight, or I'm sorry?
Why-Hi-Hi? Why-Hi-Hi?
It always kinda means, Always kinda seems
Like I've gotta leave;
Never comes out like 'you move me.'
Why-Hi-Hi? Why-Hi-Hi?
Why's it never really mean what you're trying to say?
Why's it always translate that you're going away?
Why-Hi-Hi? Why-Hi-Hi?
Why can't it ever be just 'I love you';
Why can't it ever just really be true?
Why-Hi-Hi? Why-Hi-Hi?
