Sammi and Johnny

( Okay, even *I* don't like this song! This is too ridiculously sad! Why did I even write it??? Sorry guys; I'm still trying to think up some verses to tack on the end to make it better; any ideas? :P :/

Sammi spent each Christmas alone,
Sitting on her porch in the cold,
Pretending to be smiling,
While inside she was crying,
"Somebody come and keep me company;
Somebody, oh somebody come and sit with me!"

Johnny spent Christmas getting high,
On things that made his poor ma cry,
Pretending he was someone,
'Cause he thought he was no one;
A no one that no one could ever like.
"Somebody, oh somebody come and have a drink!"

Oh, Sammi and Johnny,
You're so alike;
If only you'd met then
Maybe things would be alright!

Poor Sammi was getting lonely,
And so she accepted a ride;
But his voice turned from honey,
To the chilly sound of ice.
Somebody come and set poor Sammi free:
"Somebody, oh somebody please come and save me!"

Johnny was found drunk on his couch,
A gun and a note by his head.
His mama kept on hoping,
But we all knew he was dead.
He hoped somebody'd bury him with tears;
Somebody's bury him beneath the willow tree.

Oh, Sammi and Johnny,
You're so alike;
If only you'd met then
Maybe things would be alright!
