Forcing myself to write something off the top of my head, because I've come up with nothing new recently... Let me know if it's any good!!!

If you see a candle flame,

Then everything is fine;

I will keep it burning

'Til I'm safe with you tonight.

But if it should go out,

Then at your window pray

That I'll be home safe again

At the coming of the day.

If you see a candle flame,

Then my love is yours,

If you will only welcome me,

With an open door.

But if it should go out,

Then my heart has turned,

And I'll be crying all the night

For the friend that I have burned.

If you see a candle flame,

I need a place to rest,

And a place with your company,

My dear friend, would be best.

But if it should go out,

I've found somewhere else to stay,

And I'll not being seeing you again

'Til the coming of the day.
