Collin

< I was going to call this something else, but since I'd already used Collin, it was handy; the other name just wasn't right, and if a name doesn't just come to me, then I know I'm not going to be able to think of one. Consequently, I changed the song as well as the title. Just so you know, this has absolutely nothing to do with me, other than the fact that I wrote it.>

Lights out,
Despair hangs over me like a dark cloud.
Did you just call my name?
How could that be;
You said you'd never see me again.
I'm dreaming,
They're sweeping all our mem'ries from the street.
I'm having trouble falling asleep-
I wish you'd come and talk to me.
Collin!
You left me all alone!
Collin!
Now where will I go?
Collin,
Don't let the devil get my soul,
Even if there's  nowhere else for me to go.

Dancing,
I'm sure that we are dancing once again.
I was so scared;
I thought it was the last time I'd hold your hand.
Muddy boot prints,
From when you chased me down the hall.
Or am I just conjuring up proof,
Proof that you loved me at all?
Collin!
You left me all alone!
Collin!
Now where will I go?
Collin,
Don't let the devil get my soul,
Even if there's nowhere else for me to go.

Dark beer,
I've never been drunk before.
Are you really here, or am I just staring at the door?
Dusty books,
I haven't read them in a long time,
'Guess I thought I didn't need their stories anymore,
'Cause I was finally living mine!
Collin!
You left me all alone!
Collin!
Now where will I go?
Collin,
Don't let the devil get my soul,
Even if there's nowhere else for me to go.

Alarm clock,
Ringing in my ears,
And I thought,
You voice was the only sound that could bring me tears,
Young dancers,
Don't let them near me,
My heart's still yours-
I'm not really free!
Collin!
You left me all alone!
Collin!
Now where will I go?
Collin,
Don't let the devil get my soul,
Even if there's nowhere else for me to go.
