When I saw you,
I had to know you;
You had that kind of
Look that people
Want to know.
When I saw you,
I asked, "How do you?"
But you turned away;
Not a word did you say,
To make me smile.
But I would
Buy you all the roses
In the city;
I would draw your face
On all the walls and floors.
I would dance till all the
People called me crazy,
For I have a prize worth
Going crazy for.
If that's what I must do,
Then that's what I must do,
If that's what I must do,
To know your name.
Please don't say
I feel mere enfatuation;
It's not your beauty
So much as the smile
On your face,
And the way you hold yourself,
And the way that I first
Saw you in this place.
I don't need to
Be in love with you;
I just want to know your name.
So I would
Catch you all the birds
In the country;
I would paint your silhouette
On the windows and the doors.
I would sing till all the
People called me crazy,
For I have a prize worth going crazy for.
If that's what I must do,
Then that's what I must do,
If that's what I must do,
To know your name.
No, I don't need to
Be in love with you;
I am fine just to
Have a cup of tea,
If that's what I must do,
Then that's what I must do,
If that's what I must do,
To know your name.
Musical Cinderella? Obviously it couldn't be the same as the real Cinderella, but maybe the prince sings this, and he's not actually in love yet. ;) Like Tom? lol. :P
